Meeting the network: AVR Lab

On June 24th starts the 6th International Conference on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Computer Graphics (Salento AVR 2019) in Santa Maria al Bagno (Lecce, Italy) organized by the Augmented and Virtual Reality Laboratory (AVR Lab) of the Department of Engineering for Innovation of the University of Salento as well as a member of EuroVR.

The AVR Lab team

AVR Lab is a research laboratory focused on Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies in medicine and surgery, cultural heritage and education. AVR Lab is also engaged in the design and development of advanced human-machine interfaces. Furthermore, it is involved in the research activities of DREAM, a multidisciplinary research laboratory located in the Hospital of Lecce.

In 2010 AVR Lab joined EuroVR , a network of research groups and companies interested in promoting Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies.

This year the annual International Conference on Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Computer Graphics (Salento AVR 2019) takes place in Santa Maria al Bagno (Lecce, Italy), 24-27 June 2019. The conference intends to bring together the community of researchers and scientists in order to discuss key issues, approaches, ideas, open problems, innovative applications and trends on virtual and augmented reality, 3D visualization and computer graphics in the areas of medicine, cultural heritage, arts, education, entertainment, military and industrial applications http://www.salentoavr.it
