On behalf of the European Commission, DG CNECT, we are organising the third EU VR/AR Industrial Coalition workshop.
Launched as part of the European Commission’s Media Action Plan, the VR/AR Industrial Coalition aims to address the fragmentation in the European VR/AR ecosystem and stimulate cooperation across industry sectors. Building on Europe’s creativity and strong research base, the Coalition’s objective is to ensure European leadership in this key industrial technology.

EU VR/AR Coalition workshop on the competitiveness & unique value proposition of the EU VR/AR ecosystem
The Coalition has several components:
- Workshops with stakeholders will be organised from November 2021 to February 2022,
- A market assessment, including policy recommendations, of the European VR/AR ecosystem will be produced by March 2022,
- A final event where the results will be presented and key industry actors will be able to commit to objectives for optimum deployment of VR/AR will be held in March 2022.
The Coalition will bring together key stakeholders from various sectors and value chains of the European VR/AR ecosystem, and this third virtual workshop will focus on the competitiveness & unique value proposition of the European VR/AR ecosystem.
