Meeting the Network: Michele Gattullo

We inaugurate the new year with the “Meeting the Network” series, an opportunity to get to know all the members of the XR professionals community.

Today for our series Meeting the Network we would like to introduce you to Michele Gattullo.

Michele Gattullo received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bari, Italy, in 2009, 2012, and 2016, respectively. Since 2017, he is a research fellow with the Department of Mechanics, Mathematics, and Management at the Polytechnic Institute of Bari.

He was a visiting researcher at the Fraunhofer IGD in Darmstadt (Ger) in 2014 and NSTU in Novosibirsk (Rus) in 2019. He has ten years of experience with Virtual and Augmented Reality, working on visualization challenges in the industrial field. His research interests also include human-computer interaction, CAD modeling, and user-centered design and evaluation.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Gattullo joined EUROXR in 2019 during the 16th EUROVR conference in Tallinn, Estonia. He said: «During that conference, I experienced a friendly and motivated group of colleagues who share my research interests in Augmented and Virtual Reality. I feel that this Association can be an excellent opportunity to present AR/VR projects from my university and to stimulate discussions and collaborations with foreign researchers».
